On Thursday, July 27th Accessible Dispatch joined the NYC Parks Department Summer On the Hudson weekly event, Senior Movements. This dance class workshop, led by master teacher Naomi Goldberg Haas, is focused on engaging seniors of all ages and abilities and gives them the opportunity to get out, socialize, and creatively express themselves through movement.
During the event the Accessible Dispacth team was able to discuss the benefits of the NYC TLC Accessible Dispatch program. Which launches citywide this fall, providing wheelchair accessible transportation utilizing the City’s yellow and green cabs. Passengers will be able to book trips on demand via an app, website, telephone, and text and will privately pay for the trip via cash or credit card. Accessible Dispatch is excited to partner with the NYC Parks Department to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities and to give them the freedom to access the city like never before.
